A good, clean joke :)
On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.
"One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence. Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me." He just knew what it was, so he jumped back on his bike and rode off.
Now just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls."
The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled to the cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me..." The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been tellin' the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord."
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord. At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."
They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of the boy on the bike!

8 Years!
Today, we celebrate the anniversary of when we first got together, 8 wonderful years ago. We have had our fair share of ups and downs during this time, but have managed to overcome all the obstacles and the love we have for each other still continues to grow, day by day. We hope you are all as happy as we are. Monday, July 02, 2007
33 Weeks & 5 Days Pregnant
From behind - not looking pregnant at all (just a little chubby - even though I have lost weight!).
All is going well, there is light at the end of the tunnell and in about 7 weeks time, it should all be over. Hopefully...... In Shallah! Still having some queasiness but not as much vomiting - which has been good.
We had an appointment with a new OBGYN at the hospital yesterday (we had to do this because I am having bub at a different hospital to where my normal OBGYN is, so I had to have an appointment to set up file at the American hospital.) All went fine, however my sugar levels tested high in the routine pee (urine) sample, so the Doctor wanted me to fast from midnight and have bloods taken again at 8am this morning....then have breakfast....sit around hospital for 2 hours, then have another blood test, to determine whether I have developed gestational diabetes (which can happen during pregnancy).
To cut a very long (and boring) story short, the hospital phoned me with the results this afternoon and all is fine with my sugar levels - so no gestational diabetes for me. All the other routine tests were also fine :)
Next time I won't eat Black Forest Cake before my Doctor's appointments :) This is what would have raised my levels. Silly me - I didn't even think!!! Cameron had a good laugh though, which was good because in the end, it turned out to be an expensive exercise, all for a slice of cake!
