Happy Easter

While the focus was once on Easter Sunday, now it is on the Easter Bunny. But Easter Sunday is much more than a day of colorful plastic eggs and chocolate bunnies; it is in fact a day that left the world forever changed. It had been three days since Jesus had received the death penalty by popular vote. His friends and followers were devastated, as they had come to believe that He was not just an ordinary man, but the Son of God. He had performed miracles, healed every disease, and even brought a man back from the dead. On that third day—the day we now celebrate as Easter Sunday—His friends went to His grave, but instead of finding His body, they found an open tomb with no body in it. In fact, what they saw was an angel who told them, “Don’t be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He has been raised from the dead, just as He said it would happen” (Matthew 28:5, 6). Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday; now He offers to you the gift of eternal life and forgiveness of sins.

Dubai Culture

You certainly know you are in Dubai when you go downstairs to the basement in the morning and discover you forgot to lock your car the night before...... and the car is still there!!!

I love the fact that Dubai is so safe and the crime rate is so low. 10 points to the UAE :)

Patrick - 7 months old

Wow - where does the time go??? I cannot believe Patrick is 7 months old already!!! He has 2 teeth and is able to sit on his own, (although sometimes topples over to the side) he commando crawls everywhere and loves to play, explore, read stories and have cuddles. He constantly smiles and giggles and is such a joy. Here are a few updated photos - excuse the pj's, we stayed at home today, reading books and playing with toys so we stayed in our jimmy jammies :)

We went to Wild Wadi (which is a water park) last Saturday while Daddy went to "Desert Rock". Here are a few favourite photos from there. More can be found in the "Wild Wadi" Album on Facebook. It was Patrick's first time in his new swim suit and he had such a good time splashing in the water.

Cameron & I always agreed that we wanted to read books to Patrick, even when he was really little. We read books and tell stories each day and Patrick is starting to build up a good book collection. Here he is choosing his bedtime story for the evening (Kisses for Daddy)
