Baby Ultrasound Photos.....at last!

I know, I know....it's about time.

Sorry it has taken so long, but the photos went back to Australia with me before Cameron had a chance to scan them, so consequently, I am now uploading them all in one hit until the next ones come along (in about 2 weeks time).

Taken 29th January 2007 - Bubs head is to the left, the bottom is at the right and the legs bend back and upwards at the top of the photo (to the right). Baby was outstretched and kicking, hence being a little blurry. I was 11 weeks and 1 day at this stage.

29th January 2007 - Picture of baby's heartbeat, 11 weeks and 1 day, beating perfectly at 171 beats per minute.

30th January 2007 - 11 weeks and 2 days. Baby after jumping up to say hello. In this photo you can easily see the spine, head, feet and hands....(they appear in white)

30th January 2007 - 11 weeks and 2 days. Baby is waving - see it's little hand :) This is my FAVOURITE photo.

8th March 2007 - 17 weeks and 4 days (my date changed at this scan, I thought I was 16 weeks and 4 days, but was an extra week along). Baby is sleeping, face down on it's nose. Can you see the spine at the top?

8th March 2007 - 17 weeks and 4 days. Baby sleeping face down, however was moving a little in it's sleep and I was able to see it's heart beating. Head on the right, feet on the left and spine at the top.

So that's all the photos we have to date of our precious bub. We hope you like them too. More to come soon.

Trapped in my own apartment.....

Ding Dong!
The doorbell rings. I dash to pick up my keys to open the door and........WHERE ARE MY KEYS?????
Damn it! I left them in our car last night. What to do.....what to do (considering I am meant to be going out to meet people at the coffee shop in 20 minutes....)
*Thinking* *Thinking* *Thinking*
OH! Our landlord gave us a brown paper bag of keys when we moved in. Could one of them be a spare?
I run to check and.....
Ta Dah!!!! A spare key to open the door. Yippee!!! Yippee!!! Yippee!!!
I can go out after all.
That wasn't bad thinking (on my part) considering my brain has barely worked since falling pregnant :)
Oh well, off I go to the coffee shop.....
Bye :)

A message from Kathryn - it's been awhile!

Well, after my month long trip back to Oz, I am now safe and sound back in Dubai - to the extreme happiness of my gorgeous husband, whom I missed terribly. It took a few days to settle back in to the lifestyle here (as it is VERY different to home in Oz) but all is going well. My Doctor's appointment went well today....a few concerns with my blood pressure (still a little high) but generally I am going fairly well and baby is growing perfectly (photos to appear soon as soon as Cameron has a chance to scan them). Baby was sleeping this time (for a change) face down, so don't be suprised if it is born with a squashed nose - just kidding :) I also found out that I am a week further along in my pregnancy than we thought - I am actually 17 weeks and 4 days today, as opposed to 16 weeks and 4 days! Yippee - one less week to go :) Also I am officially due at the beginning of August, not the middle.
Cameron is still very tired but on the mend again. Hopefully a little rest on the weekend will give him a chance to catch up on some sleep and to spend some long overdue and very much deserved time together. He is playing golf on Sunday night, so fingers crossed for a good game.
We saw a very funny sight the other day that we really should share with you......We were on our way home from dinner when in front of us, on the back of a small, unenclosed ute, tied up were 4 baby camels! They looked so cute - I almost wanted to keep one......almost!
Also - (more exciting news) while out driving the other evening I saw a sign for Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I am so happy that they are here - I love their doughnuts (although I am sure the baby won't......sweet things aren't it's favourite :( A shame for me.
Well, thats all from me tonight....I promise to update our blog more regularly now that I am home.
